I have come across numerous community outreach services run by local authorities for disabled people. Do such services exist for socially isolated older people too? - helping them to access other services, be less isolated, access benefits and review their housing needs. There has to be a clear role of the VCS in this area as they are often the ones best placed to work closely with vulnerable older people.
