Where is the need for this project?

Too much wisdom is wasted. People with knowledge and experience are disconnected from those who need it.

Where do you hope this project can go?

Horsesmouth is a new online social network with a real social purpose: to connect people seeking support and guidance on the important issues in life, with others who are willing to give freely from the benefit of their own experience. Their vision is to create a marketplace for “wasted wisdom” in the same way that eBay created a marketplace for unwanted goods. Horsesmouth believe that everyone has something to give and gain in this community and would like to see everyone in the UK join and use the service at some point in their lives. One of the key communities that Horsesmouth already serves is the disabled, who benefit from access to support and advice. At the same time, many people who are physically disabled have a wealth of knowledge, wisdom and experience which they rarely have the opportunity to share and pass on.
