Where is the need for this project?

Denise has multiple sclerosis and her first-hand experience of assistive equipment in the NHS has driven her to seek to improve it by harnessing the power of co-production.

Where do you hope this project can go?

Enabled by Design is a start-up social enterprise that is developing an online community to ‘crowdsource’ the development of assistive equipment by bringing together its designers, purchasers and users. Their website is also a place where people can share information on useful products, innovations and ‘life hacks’ to help people with disabilities or constraints enjoy a high standard of independent living. The ultimate aim is to make independent living more accessible through the use of clever modern design.
